Monday 3rd: Mike
Winnings: £250
Dealt at: 2-box
Highest offer: £9,500 (11-box)
Box value: 50p
A pretty much unavoidable
trainwreck, but at least he salvaged a high blue out of it.
Tuesday 4th: Eleanor
Winnings: £11,000
Dealt at: 5-box
Highest offer: £11,000 (5-box)
Box value: £100
Good game, with a good fun player
(there was a running joke throughout that Eleanor and the Banker fancied each
other), and a sensible decision deservedly vindicated. Good result.
Wednesday 5th: Mave
Winnings: £10,000
Dealt at: 5-box
Highest offer: £19,000 (2-box)
Box value: £250
Sensible decision, unlucky in the
proveout, but at least Mave got the last laugh. Watched this with my
grandparents, and had to explain to them how the game worked, and what each box
meant to the game!
Thursday 6th: Calvert
Winnings: £7,500
Dealt at: 5-box
Highest offer: £17,000 (2-box)
Box value: £5,000
Tough one. After turning down
£16,000 at 8-box, the game crashed slightly. Can see why Calvert decided to cut
his losses. Again, an unlucky proveout, but not as bad as it could’ve been.
Friday 7th: Raj
Winnings: £22,000
Dealt at: 5-box
Highest offer: £23,500 (11-box)
Box value: £3,000
Good game. Would’ve been a Banker
spanking if the Banker hadn’t upped the 11-box offer from £20,000 to £23,500,
in reference to Julia’s game from last week. Sensible decision, though, and
good result in the proveout.
Sunday 9th: Tom
Winnings: £8,000
Dealt at: 8-box
Highest offer: £8,000 (8-box)
Box value: £750
Tom was an inspirational player,
who survived a motorcycle accident in 1990, which he wasn’t expected to survive.
Even though the £250,000 was in play, and having it in the box after dealing
£8,000 would’ve equalled the record for the biggest Banker victory, £8,000 was
a good offer with just the biggie higher, and, very pleasingly, Tom took it out
in the first box after dealing. Good game to finish the week.
